Overview
Starting in June 2024, committee administrators have the ability to bulk delete contact records, contributions, and disbursements. Previously, this could only be done through a support request to client services, but we’ve expanded the functionality to give users more control of their data.

WARNING: You will not be able to restore deleted contact records. Make sure you are certain before proceeding with a bulk contact deletion.
Permissions
Only certain User Roles have the ability to bulk delete contact records. Account Administrators, Administrators, and Full Access Managers (only available in NGP) have this ability. For committees with User Profiles, National Administrators, State Administrators, and Committee Administrators have this ability.
Deleting contact records
To bulk delete contact records, start by Creating a List of the desired contact records.
Note: It is not possible to delete contact records with any contributions, disbursements, or pledges associated with them. If your List contains contact records with these elements, those contact records will remain in your committee after the bulk delete is complete. If you’d like to delete these contact records, you’ll first need to remove their contributions, disbursements, and pledges.
On the My List page, select Bulk Apply.
On the next page, select Delete Contacts from the Apply New Mapping dropdown.
Select Finish.
You will see a final warning message asking you to type the word “DELETE.” After typing “DELETE,” select Delete Contacts to delete the contacts.
You will be automatically redirected to the Bulk Upload Batches page, where you can track the progress of your bulk deletion.
Reporting on deleted contact records
If you want to see recently deleted contact records, you can use the Deleted Contacts Report. This report will show you any contacts deleted in bulk or individually in your committee.
Monitoring user activity
If you want to see which users in your committee deleted contact records, you can use the User Activity Report. This report will show you the user’s name, how many records were affected, and the date of the bulk delete activity.
