EveryAction’s new navigation and homepage offer a streamlined experience for finding tools, managing contacts, and accessing reports. Now, with the addition of agentic AI like Bonterra Que, you can do even more, faster. This guide walks you through the updated layout, new features—including the Fundraising Coach, AI-generated donor segments, and automated email drafts—and customization options so you can get the most out of the new interface and start raising more, with less effort.

Step 1: Opt In to the New Navigation

Experience a cleaner, faster way to navigate EveryAction. To get started:

  • Click the Explore New Look toggle in the header.

  • Your interface will immediately update to the new navigation and homepage.

That’s it—you’re in. From here, you’ll have quicker access to core tools and Bonterra Que, your agentic fundraising assistant.

Step 2: Explore the Updated Header

The new header offers a simplified look while keeping key functions close at hand.

  • Streamlined User Menu: Access My Profile, Switch Committee, Impersonate User, and Log Out.

  • Unified Notifications: All notifications, including support requests, appear under the bell icon.

Step 3: Use the Sidebar Navigation

The sidebar now collapses instead of disappearing—giving you quick access to key tools.

  1. Click the hamburger icon on the left side of the header to open or collapse the sidebar.

  2. Navigate between the four main “hubs”:

    • Contacts: Tools for finding, creating, and segmenting contacts such as Quick Lookup, Create a List, and Bulk Upload

    • Engagement: Tools for communication and events, such as Targeted Email, Online Actions, and Events.

    • Reporting: Data analysis tools like Report Manager and Analytics Dashboards.

    • Administration: Access management tools (permissions required).

Additional Sidebar Tools

The sidebar provides quick access to key tools and shortcuts that help you navigate efficiently and personalize your workspace.

  • Search for Page: Quickly find tools or pages, and view your three most recent searches.

  • Favorites: Add up to ten frequently used pages to your sidebar using the Add to Favorites link near the top right of a page. To reorder your favorites, click Manage favorites and drag them into your preferred order.

Tip: Favorites can include CRM pages, Online Actions dashboards, and Targeted Email dashboards.

  • Ask Que: Access Que directly from the sidebar.

  • Provide Feedback: Send feedback directly to our product development team to share ideas, suggestions, or report issues.

  • Help / Support Resources: Find quick links to submit a support request and access Bonterra Central for additional documentation and training resources.

Step 4: Explore the New Homepage Panels

The homepage provides quick access to your most-used tools, contacts, and insights. Depending on your permissions, you may see up to 12 panels, each designed to help you work more efficiently and stay on top of your priorities.

  • Actionable Insights: Helps fundraising teams take immediate action on data-informed opportunities such as donor retention, upgrades, and stewardship.

  • Bulk Upload: View and manage your three most recent batches or saved mapping templates.

  • Disclosure Center: Access your three most recently modified and filed disclosure reports. (Requires compliance package)

  • Financial Batch Manager: Access your five most recent open manual batches and saved configurations.

  • Follow Ups: Manage overdue follow ups and see what’s upcoming this week and over the next 30 days.

  • Metrics Panel: Displays up to five dashboards—Fundraising Summary, Email Performance, Online Activity, Events, and Outreach Activity.

    • Use filters to adjust date ranges or data views.

  • Phone Banks: Displays five phone banks assigned to you and total number of calls made by you over the last 30 days.

  • Ready for You: Highlights items ready for download, such as export files.

  • Recent Tools: Links to your 10 most recently accessed tools or pages.

  • Recently Viewed Contacts: Displays your 20 most recently viewed contact records.

  • Your Reports: Quick access to up to five reports, PDF reports, or analytics dashboards.

  • Your Saved Lists & Searches: Quick access to up to five saved searches, lists, or folders.

Step 5: Customize Your Homepage Layout

Personalize your homepage to suit your workflow.

  1. Click Customize View in the top-right corner of the homepage.

  2. Adjust your layout using these options:

    • Toggle panels on or off.

    • Drag panels up or down to reorder.

    • Click the gear icon in the Metrics Panel to show, hide, or reorder dashboards.

  3. Click Update when finished.

Before: Default panel layout displays all available widgets.
After: Your homepage reflects your chosen layout and dashboard visibility.

Step 6: Ask Que—Your Fundraising Assistant

You’ll now find Ask Que right on your dashboard. This is your entry point to Bonterra Que, your built-in fundraising assistant.

  • Just click Ask Que to launch your agentic AI assistant.

  • Que can help you segment donors, generate personalized fundraising content, draft personalized, on-brand fundraising emails, and get faster answers—all tailored to your campaign goals.
