1) What are custom regions, and how can I add them?
'Custom Regions' allows a statewide campaign to manage a field program that does reflect the standard geographical districts, such as congressional districts.
For example: If you were running a statewide campaign in Massachusetts, you might have a Regional Field Director for the South Shore, Cape and Islands that do not match the 9th Congressional District exactly, or a Regional Field Director managing the North Shore and Merrimack Valley, which overlap between the Third and Sixth Congressional Districts.
To make it easier to keep track of your organizers and the districts they manage, your administrator can contact Support to set up custom regions.

2) What are 'Activity Regions', and how do they work?
Activity Regions are custom, assignable regions within 'My Campaign'. They apply to records that do not have address-based custom districts but have been assigned activity-based custom districts.
Each night, the system converts activity-based custom districts into address-based custom districts for these records. However, if a record does not have any activity-based custom districts assigned, this process does not take place.
If a record undergoes this nightly update but later has its primary address changed to one with known districts, the system will automatically assign the appropriate address-based custom districts. This will replace any previously assigned activity-based districts.
3) What are 'Effective Regions'?
This is a custom field - its value defaults to the value of the 'Custom Region' - or is set to the value of the activity-based Custom Region, if one is present. These fields will only be available in 'My Campaign'.
