How do I track and report on international donations?

Bonterra tools enable you to analyze international donor activity by applying search filters and configuring standard reports. 

Step 1: Search for non-US currency donations 

• Use Processed Currency in the Contributions section to create a list of donors who gave in CAD, GBP, or EUR.
• Contribution records will show the Processed Amount in the original currency and display USD for settlement.

Step 2: Search for international USD donations 

• Use the Country field to filter for non-US addresses or phone numbers. Read about reporting on international phones and addresses.
• Create a list of contacts who gave in USD but reside outside the US. 

Step 3: Add tracking fields to reports 

• Use standard reports such as:
  • Contribution Report
  • Online Activity Report
  • Recurring Commitment Report
• Add columns for:
  • Processed Currency
  • Processed Amount
  • Country (for USD international gifts)
