Managing form statuses allows you to control when forms are available to supporters and when they're hidden or deactivated.
Step 1: Access the Online Actions dashboard
- Log in to EveryAction
- From the left-hand side bar, click Engagement> Communication Tools> Online Actions
- Or you can use the “Search for a page” field and type “Online Actions”.
Step 2: Understand form statuses
- Forms in Online Actions can have three statuses:
- Published - Live and accessible to supporters
- Draft - Not yet published or changes not yet published
- Deactivated - No longer accepting submissions
- The current status is displayed in the Forms Overview list
Step 3: Deactivate a published form
- Find the form you want to deactivate in the Forms Overview list
- Click on the form to select it
- Click the "Deactivate" button
- The form will immediately stop accepting new submissions
- Users who try to access the form will see your deactivation message
Step 4: Reactivate a deactivated form
- Locate the deactivated form in the Forms Overview list
- Click on the form to select it
- Click the "Reactivate" button
- The form will immediately become available again
- Users will be able to access and submit the form
Step 5: Edit and update form status
- To make changes to a published form, click "Edit"
- This creates a draft version that you can modify
- Make your desired changes
- Click "Publish Changes" to update the live form
- The form will remain published throughout this process
