Managing form statuses allows you to control when forms are available to supporters and when they're hidden or deactivated.

Step 1: Access the Online Actions dashboard

  • Log in to EveryAction
  • From the left-hand side bar, click Engagement> Communication Tools> Online Actions
  • Or you can use the “Search for a page” field and type “Online Actions”.

Step 2: Understand form statuses

  • Forms in Online Actions can have three statuses:
  • Published - Live and accessible to supporters
  • Draft - Not yet published or changes not yet published
  • Deactivated - No longer accepting submissions
  • The current status is displayed in the Forms Overview list

Step 3: Deactivate a published form

  • Find the form you want to deactivate in the Forms Overview list
  • Click on the form to select it
  • Click the "Deactivate" button
  • The form will immediately stop accepting new submissions
  • Users who try to access the form will see your deactivation message

Step 4: Reactivate a deactivated form

  • Locate the deactivated form in the Forms Overview list
  • Click on the form to select it
  • Click the "Reactivate" button
  • The form will immediately become available again
  • Users will be able to access and submit the form

Step 5: Edit and update form status

  • To make changes to a published form, click "Edit"
  • This creates a draft version that you can modify
  • Make your desired changes
  • Click "Publish Changes" to update the live form
  • The form will remain published throughout this process
