📣 Meet the Leader Behind Bonterra's New CSR Strategy
We're thrilled to introduce Kenrick Fraser, Bonterra's new Chief Corporate Impact Officer, an executive role created specifically to champion CSR at the highest level of our organization. Kenrick Fraser has spent his career scaling corporate social impact programs at some of the world’s most recognized companies.
Kenrick will focus on expanding Bonterra’s commitment to centering the practitioner, equipping CSR leaders with the insight, relationships, and support they need to grow their programs and deepen their impact. He sits at the intersection of practitioner experience and platform strategy and is here to help Bonterra expand its CSR capabilities to be a strategic partner for every CSR leader.
Bonterra's investment in CSR is organized around three pillars that we believe will fundamentally change what's possible for your program:
- A platform built for how you work: continued investment across Deed and CyberGrants with AI powered Bonterra Que woven throughout to reduce admin and increase impact
- A partner helping you grow: a practitioner community, insights, strategic partnerships, business reviews, and tools that focuses on your program's growth
- The power of the two-sided network: connecting your program to nonprofits through one platform to unlock smarter discovery, automated impact reporting, and insights no one else in this market can offer
The vision is ambitious: moving the needle on giving toward 3% by 2033. Because at the end of the day, stronger corporate social impact programs mean more resources flowing to the communities and causes that need them most.
We're proud to be building this alongside you and are excited for what's to come!

📊 Volunteering Report: New Fields Added by Request
🎯 Who it's for: Deed admins who use the Volunteering Report for program tracking and analysis.
⚡ Feedback in Action!
Your feedback is shaping the product. Four new fields have been added to the Volunteering Report based on direct client requests:
- Deed Skills - Surfaces the skills tagged to a volunteering activity, making it easier to align opportunities with employee skill profiles.
- Off-Platform Logged Hours Approvals - Adds a timestamp to complement the existing approval status field, giving you a more complete picture of when hours were reviewed.
- Shifts Starting At and Ending At - Captures the exact start and end times of employee shifts for more precise reporting.
✨ Why This Matters
For CSR managers, granular volunteering data is essential as it builds a more compelling impact story for leadership and a stronger case for program investment. Shift timing and skills alignment data in particular help demonstrate the quality and intentionality of your volunteering programs, above and beyond the volume.
Reminder: Two additional fields were added in March — Skills-Based (flags whether an opportunity was skills-based) and Working Hours (flags whether volunteering occurred during work hours). Both require a toggle to be enabled so speak with your Partner Success Manager to get those visible in your Deed creation flow
💡 Donations and Volunteering Reports: Deed Creator Transparency
🎯 Who it's for: Deed admins who use the Donation or Volunteering Report to track and audit program activity.
⚡ Feedback in Action!
You can now see exactly who created the deed associated with each report entry. A new Creator Role field has been added to both the Donations Report and Volunteering Report, joining two existing fields to give you a fuller picture:
- Creator Role — the role of the user who created the deed (may vary by company) ⭐ New
- Creator Type — whether the deed was created by a Company Organizer, Employee, or Nonprofit Organizer
- Creator Email — the email address of the deed creator
✨ Why This Matters
For CSR managers overseeing large, distributed programs, creator visibility helps with auditing, accountability, and understanding how activity is being driven across your organization whether that's your internal team, employees self-organizing, or nonprofit partners.
👥 Multiple Event Organizers on Deeds
🎯 Who it's for: Deed admins managing large-scale or cross-functional volunteering programs.
Deeds can now have multiple organizers, each with their own contact details and permissions. This was a recurring request from those of you running programs that involve more than one team or coordinator, and it's a natural extension of the deed creation workflow you already know.
When creating or editing a deed, you'll find the updated Event Organizers section right where the single organizer field used to be. From there you can:
- Add multiple organizers manually or by searching your employee directory
- Assign roles — Edit & Publish for those helping manage the deed, or View Only for those listed as a contact only
- Surface organizer details automatically on the deed page and in notification emails like confirmations and reminders
✨ Why This Matters
For CSR managers running large volunteering programs, a single point of contact can be an awkward fit for how the work actually gets done. This update means volunteers always know exactly who to reach out to, organizers can share the workload without requiring extra admin permissions, and your program structure can reflect the way your team actually operates.

🌟A Look Inside Our 2026 Customer Advisory Board
Earlier this month, we brought together a select group of CSR leaders in Atlanta for our 2026 Customer Advisory Board. We built a full day around the belief that the best ideas in this industry come from the people doing the work.
The day opened with Kenrick Fraser, CCIO of Bonterra, and Andrea Wood, CEO and President of ACCP, setting the stage on where CSR is headed and the evolving expectations around corporate social impact. From there, the agenda was packed with peer exchange through roundtables, facilitated ideation sessions, and real conversations about what's working, what's challenging, and what H2 looks like for programs across the industry.
We closed the day with a hands-on volunteer activity led by Goodera which was a fitting end to a day centered on impact.
The 2026 cohort brought incredible energy and perspective. We're excited to build on what we heard, and we look forward to sharing more as those conversations shape what's next.
