ASC SPOTLIGHT
Que? For What? Embracing a more Efficient Future
by. Peter R., Advanced Support Consultant
If you've seen "Que" pop up in EveryAction and wondered what it is or whether it's worth your time, this one's for you.
Que is Bonterra's AI assistant built directly into EveryAction. It's not a separate tool you have to learn or a new platform to log into—it lives inside the workflows you're already using. The idea is simple: instead of navigating menus, building queries manually, or starting every email from a blank page, you tell Que what you need in plain language and it does the heavy lifting.
For organizations that feel stretched thin—managing campaigns, stewarding donors, and keeping data clean with limited staff—that kind of efficiency isn't a nice-to-have. It's a real operational advantage.
Read more to see where Que is already making a difference for EveryAction users.
WHAT’S NEW IN EVERYACTION
EveryAction Que: Natural Language Segmentation Updates
We've shipped a batch of improvements to Que's natural language segmentation.
- More Complex Queries: You can now add an "exclude step" to your queries, letting you build more advanced segments. For example: "Show me people who live in Massachusetts but not those who live in Boston." Define an audience, then carve out a portion of it based on a second set of criteria.
- Email Address Filters: Query for segments based on email address and its attributes, such as whether an address is subscribed or unsubscribed and when it was added. Example: "Show me people who have a subscribed email address who live in Boston."
- My Saved Lists Filters: Query against people who belong to an existing Saved List, so you can refine an existing list further. Example: "Find everyone on my Major Donor Saved List who lives in Boston."

Summer is more than a well-earned break. It's a critical checkpoint in your fundraising year. You're halfway through, and there's still time to course-correct before the fall push begins. In this coaching session, Tracy Vanderneck will walk you through practical steps to assess your progress and head into Q3 ready to execute.
We'll cover how to measure funds raised against your year-end goal to see where you really stand, and how to review projected vs. actual numbers with your accounting team. You'll also learn why reaching out to corporate partners now, before they lock in next year's budgets in October, can make a big difference. To round things out, we'll look at how cleaning up your data and refreshing your forms can improve outcomes in Q3 and Q4.
Don't let the summer slump slow you down. Use it to your advantage!
Clean Data, Confident Fundraising: An EveryAction Que Skills Lab
Wednesday, July 29 - 1pm ET
Register here.
You've told us: duplicate records are one of the most frustrating parts of managing your EveryAction database. Spotting them takes time. Fixing them takes even more. And the longer they sit there, the less you can trust the data you're working from. We heard you.
This Skills Lab is built around solving that problem, with practical best practices for data hygiene, and a new Que-powered tool that automatically finds, surfaces, and helps you resolve duplicates with far less manual effort.
What We’ll Cover:
- Why data quality is the foundation of everything: A grounded look at what poor data hygiene actually costs your organization. and why EveryAction data integrity is the central building block for better fundraising, reporting, and outreach.
- Introducing Que Duplicate Management: Que now runs a nightly duplicate detection model across your contact database, scores every potential match by confidence level, and surfaces them in a dedicated Duplicate Management page, so you always know exactly where to start.
- Cleaning your database in EveryAction: A walkthrough of how to use the new Duplicate Management page, review flagged pairs side-by-side, and merge or dismiss with confidence, plus tips for building data hygiene into your regular workflow.
- Live Q&A: Bring your messiest data questions. We'll answer them together.

WHAT’S COMING TO MOBILIZE
Upcoming Improvements to Magic Link Login
We’re streamlining the Magic Link login flow to make it clearer and easier to use. Today, if the Magic Link button doesn’t work, the fallback login requires entering a long token, so we’re making a small but meaningful improvement: replacing that long token with a simple 6-digit one-time code.
This keeps the same secure system behind the scenes while making fallback login easier to enter and less confusing to navigate. Stay tuned!
Better VAN Sync Error Handling
We're proactively updating our sync capabilities in your Mobilize event creation form, so that you'll now be able to recieve real-time feedback on their configuration status.
This provides organizers the opportunity to see any potential issues before an event is published - preventing errors from being published, and making the event creation process even easier.
