Consider the action you want supporters to take
-
Include phone numbers if you want supporters to call officials
-
Include Twitter handles if you want supporters to engage on social media
-
Include both for maximum flexibility
-
-
Be aware of Twitter handle limitations
-
Warning: Some state-level targets do not have Twitter handles in the system
-
If you include Twitter handles for officials without one, "their Twitter handle" will display as placeholder text
-
To avoid this issue, verify officials have Twitter accounts by using the "Has Twitter handle" filter in Configure Advocacy
-
-
Understand how contact information appears
-
Phone numbers display in format: "(202) 224-4543"
-
Twitter handles display in format: "@SenWarren"
-
When both are included, they appear as: "(202) 224-4543 or at @SenWarren"
-
