Overview

The Regulations.gov in Advocacy forms help organizations guide supporters through submitting public comments on proposed federal regulations during open comment periods. This is a different process from contacting elected officials—it connects supporters to an official government review system.

Because Regulations.gov no longer allows third-party platforms to submit comments automatically, our Advocacy forms now use a guided copy/paste workflow. This means supporters are given prepared comment text, clear instructions, and a direct link so they can submit their comments themselves on Regulations.gov.

This article is here to help you get oriented and point you to the right step-by-step instructions. You don’t need to do everything at once.
