Overview
You can create targeted contact lists based on attribution data using several different search criteria in the standard search tool.
Step 1: Start a new list search

Navigate to Lists or Contacts

Select Create a List

Set up your basic search parameters as needed
Step 2: Search using Direct or Attributed field

Expand the Contribution section of search criteria

Find the Direct or Attributed field

Select one of the following options:

Direct Only (only direct contributions)
-
Attributed Only (only soft credited contributions)
-
Both (either direct or attributed contributions)

Step 3: Filter by attribution details

Still in the Contribution section, locate additional attribution filters:

Attribution Type to search by specific attribution categories

Attribution Thanked to find attributed gifts that have or haven't been acknowledged

Step 4: Search by specific attributed contact

Use the Contact Attribution filter in the Contribution section

This allows you to search for all contacts who made direct gifts that were soft credited to a particular individual or organization

Search for and select the specific contact whose attributions you want to find
Step 5: Search using contribution summaries

Expand the Contribution Summaries section

Use filters like Lifetime Attributed Amount or Attributed Contributions Count

Set your desired values to find donors with specific attribution patterns
Step 6: Search for recurring commitments or pledges with attributions

Expand either the Recurring Commitment or Pledges sections

Look for the Contact Attribution field

Search for all contacts who have made a pledge or recurring commitment attributed to a specific individual or organization
