How do I fix a Bulletin that uses a background report?

(Administrators)

Reports with Background Processing turned on cannot be used in Bulletins. If a report in a Bulletin was changed to Background Processing, the Bulletin may stop saving and the report field may show -- Please Select --. Follow the steps below to fix it.

Step 1: Check the report's setting

Open the report connected to the Bulletin and go to Report Properties. Check whether Background Processing is turned on.

Step 2: Decide which to keep

Choose one of these options:

  • Turn off Background Processing on that report so it can stay in the Bulletin, or

  • Keep Background Processing on and use a different report in the Bulletin.

Step 3: Update the Bulletin

Open the Bulletin. In the report field, select a report that does not use Background Processing.

Step 4: Save the Bulletin

Save the Bulletin and confirm it saves without errors.
