Better Bulk Upload Overview
To access the new bulk upload experience, navigate to your existing bulk upload flow and look for the banner inviting you to try the redesigned tool. The new flow is opt-in, clicking the banner launches the updated experience, and you can return to the original at any time. No special permissions or setup are required to get started.
Better Bulk Upload is a complete redesign of EveryAction's contact upload workflow, built to make the process faster, cleaner, and more forgiving. The new experience introduces drag-and-drop file upload, so you can add your file without clicking through a file browser. Once your file is loaded, the default action is pre-set to "load new and update contacts" (the most common use case) reducing the number of decisions you need to make before moving forward. The mapping step has been rebuilt with a clearer visual layout that makes it easier to see how your file's columns connect to EveryAction fields. Importantly, your existing mapping templates are fully compatible with the new experience and will continue to work exactly as before.
To begin an upload, drag your file onto the upload area or click to browse for it. From there, you'll move through a guided set of steps: confirm your upload settings, review and adjust your field mapping. Before anything is submitted, review any errors flagged by the system. Once everything looks good, complete the upload. If at any point the new flow isn't working for you, a link to the original experience is always available.
One of the most significant additions in this release is pre-upload error handling. After mapping your fields, EveryAction will surface any data issues before the upload is finalized, giving you the opportunity to fix problems before they affect your records. This directly addresses one of the most common pain points users have reported with the existing bulk upload tool.
When you complete an upload using the new flow, you'll be prompted to share feedback on your experience. If you exit the flow before finishing, you'll also be asked why, this helps the team continue improving the tool.
