How do I edit Relationships between Contacts?

Relationships in EveryAction allow you to connect individuals to each other, creating a network that reflects real-world connections. Whether tracking family members, professional relationships, or organizational connections, proper relationship management helps you understand your contacts better and communicate with them more effectively.  

  

Step 1: Navigate to a contact's profile    

  1. Search using the Search for a Contact field or use the Quick Lookup Tool.  

  1. Click the contact record.  

 

Step 2: Scroll to the Relationships tab  

  1. Once the contact record is up, navigate to the About section.  

  1. Click the View All Details link.  

  1. Scroll to the Relationships tab.  

 

Step 3: Edit a Relationship  

  1. Click the right arrow to open the Relationship drawer.  

  1. Click Add Relationships.  

  1. Search for the contact to edit relationship with.  

  1. Once contact record shows, choose the correct relationship type using the Relationship dropdown.  

  1. Click the Save/Search button.  

  

Tip: Use Relationship Types Effectively  

  

  1. Choose relationship types that best represent the connection between contacts:  

    1. Family relationships (spouse, parent, child, sibling) 

    2. Professional relationships (employer, coworker)  

    3. Organizational connections (board member, staff member)  

 

  1. Relationship types help categorize connections and can be used for targeted communications
