Counts and Crosstabs Overview

The Counts and Crosstabs feature in EveryAction allows you to analyze data by generating numerical counts of records broken down by selected criteria. This tool provides a powerful way to understand the distribution and relationships within your data through two-dimensional tables that display frequency counts across different categories.

Getting Started

You can access Counts and Crosstabs by clicking on Report Manager from the main menu or from the Sidebar. If you see other report tools, click on "Counts and Crosstabs" in the lefthand menu. From there, you can create new formats or use existing ones to run your analysis.

Feature Details

Counts and Crosstabs organizes your data into a matrix format, where rows and sections (columns) represent different criteria you want to analyze. For example, you might set up Activist Codes as rows and Age groups as columns to see the distribution of activism across different age demographics. The format provides flexible settings to count people, doors, mailboxes, or phones based on your reporting needs.

When running a Counts and Crosstabs report, you'll see the raw counts in each cell where row and column categories intersect. The format also offers the option to display percentages, helping you better understand the relative proportions within your data. This makes it particularly useful for identifying patterns, trends, or concentrations across different segments of your database.

Feature Navigation

For specific tasks within Counts and Crosstabs, refer to these helpful guides:

Tracking your Success / Reporting

The Counts and Crosstabs tool itself is a reporting feature that allows you to measure the distribution of your contacts across various dimensions. You can save your formats for repeated use, schedule reports to be delivered automatically to your email, and export the data for further analysis. This enables you to track changes over time by comparing reports run with the same format at different intervals.

Additional Information

With a properly configured Counts and Crosstabs format, you can quickly gain insights into your data that might otherwise require complex queries or manual analysis, making it an essential tool for data-driven decision making in your organization.
