Coming in November: Group Volunteering for Deed Engage events

We’re targeting November to let employees sign up for volunteer events together as a named group with a Group Captain.

Many of you told us volunteering is better with colleagues, but organizing a team meant separate private events and chasing groups by email. Now one event can hold groups and individual volunteers together, so no spots go unused. A captain can bring in colleagues, and you stay in control.

• What’s changing: Employees can sign up as a group on volunteer events. The captain adds colleagues, who are registered right away, or invites them to accept or decline. Admins can also create and manage groups from a new Groups tab in Organizer.
• Who it affects: Admins who run volunteer events, and the employees who join them.
• What it means for you: Teams volunteer together without workarounds. Captains manage their own groups.
• Timing: We’re targeting November.
