Getting Started

You can access the Major Giving Portfolio by searching for it in the Sidebar or by selecting "Manage Portfolio" from the Major Gifts card in Fundraising Management. Before beginning, it's recommended to create some Moves Management Action Plans, which will be automatically included in your portfolio.

Feature Details

The Major Giving Portfolio is designed to make managing major gifts easier and more organized, helping you meet or exceed your fundraising goals. The portfolio features three main tabs: Cultivate, Action Plans, and Prospect Queue, each serving different purposes in the major giving lifecycle.

The dashboard measures touchpoints based on traditional metrics like face-to-face contacts, proposals submitted, proposal values, and portfolio size. This enables you to focus on outcomes, adjust strategies as needed, reach new prospects faster, and dedicate more time to relationship-building activities.

The Portfolio Value feature tracks the total direct contributions made by contacts in your open action plans, including all contributions from Financial Households where at least one member is in your portfolio. You can also filter results by different Portfolio Owners to review their major giving activities.

These tools help you measure your success and identify areas that need attention. The Noteworthy section displays donor cards requiring special attention, using a hierarchy of triggers to prioritize which donors appear in your workflow.

Transition Statement

By leveraging the Major Giving Portfolio's cultivation tools, action plan management, and prospect research features, you can streamline your major giving program and focus on building meaningful relationships with your donors.
