Early Intervention Signals FAQs

Do I need the Que Intelligence package to use Early Intervention Signals?

Yes. Early Intervention Signals is part of Que Intelligence and isn’t available on the Free plan.

When does the signal run?

Once per night. Output appears in the doc folder the following morning. Use Review & Test for immediate feedback during setup.

Will it affect my existing forms or data?

No. Signals only reads your data. It never edits forms or records. The only thing that changes is the output card that appears in the doc folder when a signal is active.

Why don’t I see signal cards in the doc folder?

Signal output only appears for standard users after you activate the signal, and it appears the morning after the next nightly run. Make sure at least one risk factor is on and the master toggle is active.

Can I apply a signal to a specific program only?

Not directly. Signals are form-based, not program-based. However, if certain Tier 2 forms are only used by specific programs, pointing your signal to those forms effectively scopes it. Share feedback on whether program-level filtering would be valuable.

What happens when a signal is edited? Does historical output disappear?

Editing a signal clears previous output and re-evaluates participants on the next run. To preserve the previous configuration’s output next to a new one, create a new signal instead of editing the existing one, within your 3-signal limit.

Is Early Intervention Signals connected to reporting?

Not currently, by design. Signals is a live, daily triage tool, not a report. Because participant data changes daily, the intent is to help people act in the moment rather than build longitudinal records. We’re interested in hearing what reporting use cases you wish it could support.

Can I give non-admin users access to configure signals?

Configuration is admin-only. However, output (doc folder cards) is visible to any user with access to that doc folder once the signal is activated. If you need a power user to help configure signals, they would need an administrator seat.

How many signals can I have?

During beta, up to 3 signals per site, with up to 5 risk factors and 5 protective factors in each.
