How do I edit, turn off, or archive a signal in Apricot?
Overview
Signals aren’t set in stone. You can edit them, pause individual factors, turn the whole signal off, or archive it. Here’s what each option does.
Step 1: Edit a signal
You can edit the signal name, look-back period, risk and protective factors, and notification settings at any time.
-
The Tier 1 form is locked after the signal is first saved. To use a different one, archive or delete the signal and create a new one.
-
When you edit a signal’s configuration, Que re-evaluates relevant participants on the next nightly run. Editing clears previous output.
-
To keep the previous version’s output next to a new one, create a new signal instead of editing, within your 3-signal limit.
Step 2: Turn factors on or off
Each risk and protective factor has its own toggle. Turn off factors that are under construction without disrupting the active signal.
The whole signal also has a master toggle. Deactivating the signal removes all of its output from the doc folder immediately.
Step 3: Archive a signal
-
Once a signal has run (nightly), you can’t delete it, but you can archive it.
-
Archiving removes the signal’s cards from the doc folder and stops future runs.
-
Archived signals remain viewable under a filter, so you have a record of past configurations.
-
Signals that have never been activated can be deleted entirely.
Step 4: Know the limits
During beta, each site can have up to 3 signals. Within each signal, you can configure up to 5 risk factors and 5 protective factors, for up to 10 factors per signal. Let your Bonterra contact know if 3 signals isn’t enough for your setup.
