How do I test a signal before I turn it on?

Overview

Want to be sure your signal works before your team sees it? Run a test first. A test is a dry run just for you, and it doesn’t affect the doc folder. Follow these steps.

Step 1: Open your factor

Open the risk or protective factor you want to test.

Step 2: Go to Review & Test

Scroll to Review & Test.

Step 3: Run the test

Paste a participant’s ID, found at the end of their profile URL, and click Run Test.

Step 4: Review the output

Check whether the result matches what you’d expect for this participant.

Step 5: Refine and re-run

Tweak your criteria description and run the test again until you’re happy with it.

Good to know

Choose a participant whose record you know well, so it’s easy to tell whether the output is right.
