How do I bulk apply email status?
To apply an email status to multiple contacts at once, use the Bulk Upload tool in EveryAction. Follow the steps below.
Step 1: Prepare your file
Create a spreadsheet or CSV file with your contacts’ email addresses. Include a column for Email Status and/or Email Type if you want to set custom values.
Step 2: Open the Bulk Upload tool
Navigate to the Bulk Upload tool from the left-hand sidebar using the Search for a page field.
Step 3: Map your email fields
When you reach the field mapping step, you have two options:
-
Email — maps a column to the Email field. This automatically applies an Email Type of Personal and an Email Status of Subscribed. Use this if you want all uploaded email addresses marked as Subscribed and typed as Personal.
-
Apply Email Address — maps a column to the Email field and lets you choose custom Email Status and Email Type values. Use this when you want to apply a status other than Subscribed or a type other than Personal.
If you’re applying the same value to all records (for example, marking all as Subscribed), you don’t need a separate column in your file for that field.
Step 4: Review and submit
Review your mapping selections and submit your upload. Email statuses will be applied to the matching contact records.
