How do I set up the Subscription Confirmation email?
The Subscription Confirmation email is sent to new supporters after they submit a form with Confirmed Opt-In enabled. They must click the confirmation link in the email to be added to your email list. Follow the steps below to create it.
Note: This email can only be deactivated — not deleted — once created. It will only trigger for Online Actions forms where you have enabled the Confirmed Opt-In option.
Step 1: Open the Triggered Emails tab
From the Targeted Email dashboard, select the Triggered Emails tab.
Step 2: Find and create the Subscription Confirmation template
Locate the Subscription Confirmation template in the list and select Create.
Step 3: Compose your email
Create your Subscription Confirmation email as you would any Targeted Email. You can use templates (Drag & Drop editor) or Themes and Reusables (Classic editor) as usual.
Important: You will not be able to select or exclude an audience for this email — it sends automatically to any contact whose email address has a Confirmation Status of Pending.
You must include the Confirmation Link merge field somewhere in the body of the email. This is the link supporters click to confirm their subscription. Without it, supporters cannot activate their opt-in.
Step 4: Edit or deactivate if needed
To edit, deactivate, or rename the email later, use the dropdown next to the email name in the Triggered Emails list and select the appropriate option.
