How do I add contributions to a batch?

Overview

There are multiple ways to add contributions to a Financial Batch, whether entering new contributions or assigning existing ones to your batch. 

 

Step 1: Access the batch 

  1. Open the Financial Batch Manager 

  1. Locate the batch you want to add contributions to 

  1. Click on the Batch Number to open the batch details 

Step 2: Choose your contribution entry method 

From the Contributions section of the batch details page, you have three options: 

Option A: Add Individual Contributions 

  1. Click Add Individual Contribution 

  1. Enter the contribution details in the form that appears 

  1. Complete all required fields 

  1. Click Save to add the contribution to the batch 

Option B: Bulk Upload Contributions 

  1. Click Bulk Upload Contributions 

  1. Follow the prompts to upload your contribution data file 

  1. Map the columns in your file to the corresponding fields 

  1. Complete the upload process to add multiple contributions at once 

Option C: Find Contributions 

  1. Click Find Contributions 

  1. Use the search filters to locate existing contributions 

  1. Select the contributions you want to add to the batch 

  1. Click Apply or Save to add the selected contributions to your batch 

Step 3: Verify your additions 

  1. After adding contributions, return to the batch details page 

  1. Check that the Actual Amount and Actual Count are updating correctly 

  1. Compare these figures with your Expected Amount and Expected Count to ensure accuracy
