Custom Calculated Field - years since first gift ?

Is there a way to add a Custom Calculated Field that calculates the amount of time that has passed since a donor’s first contribution? We are investigating using language such as “Thank you for being a supporter for __ years!” in cultivation and appreciation messages.

Hi Jamie, Thanks for asking this question! As it turns out, this is not a supported field that can be used for custom calculated fields. While it’s not ideal, the one manual work around would be manually uploading this value as a custom field and using that in messaging. I would note that this would need to be routinely updated since it is not something that would be calculated automatic so it would depend on how often you intend to use it and how much you would want to have to keep updated across records.
