Overview
After a contribution has been posted to the General Ledger, you cannot directly change its amount, source code, or payment method. Instead, you must use the Data Adjustment feature to maintain accurate accounting records.
Step 1: Access the contribution requiring adjustment

Navigate to the contribution you need to modify

Verify that the contribution shows as posted to the General Ledger
Step 2: Initiate a data adjustment

On the contribution record, locate the Data Adjustment option next to the date the contribution was posted

Click Data Adjustment to open the adjustment interface
Step 3: Make the necessary adjustments

In the pop-up screen, you can:

Add or delete Source Codes

Change the attributed General Ledger Fund

Change the attributed Cost Center

Make your desired changes
Step 4: Save the adjustment

Review your changes carefully

Add any notes explaining the reason for the adjustment if needed

Click Save to complete the adjustment

The system will maintain a record of both the original data and the adjustment
Step 5: Review adjustment records (optional)

To see all adjustments made, search for General Ledger Adjustments Report in the search bar

This report shows a summary of all General Ledger adjustments made across your system
