Follow these steps to test two versions of a Mobile Messaging message.

Step 1: Draft Your Variants

Create two versions of your message. Variants can differ by:

  • Content (language, graphics, call to action)

  • Message type (SMS or MMS)

Step 2: Select Your Audience

  1. Choose a Saved Search or Saved List

  1. Choose the percentage of your audience that will receive the B variant

Test a large enough segment to yield meaningful results.

Step 3: Select Winning Criteria

In the Selecting a winner panel, choose the criteria that will determine the winning variant.

The winner can be based on:

  • Highest click rate

  • Highest conversion rate

  • Greatest average contribution

  • Total raised

  • Lowest opt-out rate

Step 4: Send the Winning Variant

The winning variant is automatically sent to the remaining contacts who did not receive the test versions.

Preview, send, and schedule your messages as you would with a standard message.
