How do I close or delete an action plan?

When a cultivation process is complete or no longer relevant, you'll need to either close the action plan to preserve its history or delete it entirely.

Step 1: Closing an action plan

Method 1: Using status change

  1. Open the action plan details page

  1. In the Plan Details section, change the Status to "Closed"

  1. Make sure you've entered a Result and Result Date in the Plan Ask section (required for closing)

  1. Save your changes

Method 2: Using the More menu

  1. Open the action plan details page

  1. Click the "More" dropdown menu in the upper right corner

  1. Select "Close"

  1. Ensure you've entered a Result and Result Date in the Plan Ask section

  1. Save your changes

Step 2: Understanding closure implications

  1. Closed plans remain in the system with all their history intact

  1. If the Result was "Yes," the plan shows 100% of committed amount in reports

  1. If the Result was "No," "Maybe," or "Later," the plan shows 0% in reports

  1. Closed plans no longer appear in active follow-up queues

Step 3: Deleting an action plan (if necessary)

  1. Open the action plan details page

  1. Click the "More" dropdown menu in the upper right corner

  1. Select "Delete"

  1. Confirm your decision when prompted

Step 4: Understand deletion limitations

Plans cannot be deleted if they have any of the following associated data:

  1. Pledges

  1. Contributions

  1. Follow-ups

  1. Contact history

  1. Notes

  1. Attachments

If you need to delete a plan with associated data, you must first remove all these items.
