Action plans are designed to guide you through each stage of donor cultivation, from identification through stewardship, to helping you meet or exceed your fundraising goals. 

Getting Started 

To begin using Moves Management, navigate to a contact record details page and select "Add New Action Plan" from the Moves Management Action Plans section. You can also access action plans through the Major Giving Portfolio, which provides a customizable prospect queue to help identify contacts with the capacity or interest to make a major gift. Moves Management is included in the Bonterra Development Standard or Pro package. 

Feature Details 

Moves Management action plans track donor cultivation through structured stages, each with a defined probability percentage used for forecasting: 

  • Identification (5% of Ask Amount) - Initial prospect identification 
  • Qualification (10%) - Determining if the prospect is a good fit 
  • Cultivation (20%) - Building the relationship 
  • Solicitation (40%) - Making the ask 
  • Negotiation (80%) - Finalizing the details 
  • Stewardship (100% of Committed Amount) - Maintaining the relationship after a gift 
  • Closed (100% of committed amount if successful; 0% if not) 

Action plans include several key components: 

  • Plan Ask section for projected amounts and expected dates 
  • Probability assessments for donor readiness, likelihood, and capacity 
  • Follow-ups scheduling and tracking 
  • Contact history documentation
