Question

Event Sponsors

Is there a way to turn off or hide event sponsors on an event page like you can with the individual donor roll?  Or is there an option to hide what sponsorship package they chose?  On the other side, is there a way to add logos of sponsors they may offer sponsorships in other ways that are not available for purchase on our event page?

We either want to be able to show everyone or no one, if that makes sense.

    Hi @Jaclyn Drago! Great questions.

Once you’ve added a sponsor to a sponsorship level, whether through an online purchase or offline entry, you cannot hide the sponsor. Even if you don’t upload a logo, it will display the name of the sponsor on the event page. I’ll give you a few ideas here, but you’re welcome to also come to an Office Hours session and we can talk through it more.

    1. When creating a sponsorship level, you can set the availability date as in the past (e.g. Sponsorship Availability Ends date set to yesterday). This makes it so it isn’t available to purchase on the event page, but you can still add offline sponsors to get them to show up in your sponsorship space on the page. Maybe you create a level just called “Sponsorship”, and that allows you to show off the sponsor without tiering their level of support.
    2. If you didn’t want anyone to show up as a sponsor, you could create your sponsorship as a ticket type. This negates the entire sponsorship area on your event page. Sometimes, orgs do this when they want to offer tickets to sponsors and capture guest info at the time of purchase.
    3. If you went the ticket type route, you could also create your own version of the sponsorship area in the Details area of your event page (you can upload photos and add links there!). Formatting might be challenging, so you’d likely want to test if that’s the route you went.
