How do I search using Activist Codes for planned giving prospects?

Overview 

Activist Codes can track when donors request planned giving information, making it easy to identify interested prospects. 

 

Step 1: Ensure Activist Codes are applied consistently 

  1. Apply appropriate Activist Codes whenever someone requests planned giving information 

  1. Codes can be applied manually after individual conversations or requests 

  1. For direct mail responses, use Bulk Upload to apply codes to multiple contacts 

Step 2: Access the Create-A-List feature 

  1. Navigate to Create-A-List

  1. Locate and expand the Activist Codes section 

Step 3: Search for contacts with planned giving interest 

  1. Select the specific planned giving information request Activist Code(s) 

  1. Use the Count filter to find contacts who have expressed interest multiple times 

    1. Enter minimum and maximum values to specify how many times the code has been applied 

    2. For example, enter "5" to "10" to find contacts who have requested information 5-10 times 

Step 4: Run your search and review results 

  1. After setting all desired criteria, run the search 

  1. Review the list of contacts who match your criteria
