Understanding Premiums
Premiums Overview
Premiums let your organization offer thank-you gifts — like tote bags, mugs, or apparel — to donors who give above a set minimum amount. You can manage premiums from the Premiums List page, and set up or edit the details of an individual gift from its Premium Details page.
Premiums now support a few additional ways to run your gift-based campaigns. You can set separate minimum gift amounts for one-time versus recurring donations, so donors always see the right threshold for how they're giving. You can add a single variant category — like size — to a premium, so you can offer a t-shirt in S, M, and L without creating three separate premium items, and each variant option tracks its own SKU and availability (Available, Sold Out, or Backordered) independently. You can also designate any existing premium as a "bonus gift" on a specific form, so qualifying donors can opt into it – via a separate checkbox – in addition to their standard premium. And when you're managing premiums across many donation forms — like during pledge drive season — you can add or remove it across multiple forms at once from the Premium Details page, instead of opening and configuring each form individually in Online Actions.
To get started, navigate to the Premiums List page and select an existing premium (or create a new one) to open its Premium Details page. From there, you can set your one-time and recurring minimums when linking the premium to forms, add a variant category with its own SKU and availability per option, and link or unlink the premium across multiple forms at once. To designate the premium as a bonus gift, head to the relevant form's settings in Online Actions. Remember to save after each change.
Each variant option and the base premium carry their own SKU and Available/Sold Out/Backordered status, so you can keep an accurate read on what's still available to offer donors — though your organization's fulfillment vendor remains the source of truth for actual stock counts.

Feature Availability
Existing premiums continue to work as they do today, and these new capabilities are opt-in — available from the redesigned Premium Details and Premiums List pages whenever you're ready to use them.
One small change to note: what used to be a single Status field on each premium is now two separate fields, Status (Active/Inactive) and Availability (Available/Sold Out/Backordered), so you can control whether a premium is added to forms independently from whether it can currently be selected by a supporter.
Note: Only one variant category (e.g., Size) is supported per premium in this release, and bulk actions apply to linking/unlinking existing premiums across forms rather than creating multiple new premiums at once.
