Release Notes | Week of June 15 | Apricot 8.56.2
Overview
This release introduces two enhancements that make data collection more flexible and complete, along with nine fixes that address accessibility, linking, login, and form behavior.
Enhancements
Radio buttons | Clear selection
A new Clear Selection button lets you clear a mistakenly selected response on a form without starting the entire form over. This option is available for Radio Button, Masked Radio Button, User List, and Likert Scale field types. Starting the evening of July 1, 2026, administrators will also be able to configure whether the Clear Selection button appears for these field types using Field Properties in Form Designer.
Registration grid | Signature fields
The Registration Grid now supports signature fields, so staff can collect participant signatures as part of the registration process. This keeps the participant record complete within Apricot, reducing the need for separate paper forms or external signature tools.
Fixes
Linking | Date field calendar icon
The calendar icon on a Date field is now accessible after clicking Store Linked Record for a Wizard Linked Form.
Navigation | Side navigation bar with JAWS
Users who navigate with the JAWS screen reader can now use the side navigation bar without interruption.
Navigation | Tab selection announcement with JAWS
JAWS now correctly announces which tab is selected when navigating between My Apricot and Administrator.
Currency | Minimum and maximum value validation
Currency fields with a minimum or maximum value greater than 999 no longer trigger a validation error when saving a record.
Linking | Deactivation with Disable Link Delete Button enabled
Enabling the Disable Link Delete Button setting no longer prevents users from deactivating a link.
Linking | Required single-link fields
A linking field set to required and configured to hold only one link can now be updated by deleting the existing link and adding a new one.
Login | Session re-authentication
Users who re-authenticate after a session timeout are no longer logged out again within seconds.
Apricot Connect | Participant registration error
Registering a participant through Apricot Connect no longer returns a generic failure message. The registration process now completes successfully.
Intake | Tier 1 republish removing Tier 2 form
Publishing updates to a Tier 1 Form no longer removes an associated Tier 2 Form from the Intake Form configuration. Both tiers remain intact after a Tier 1 republish.
