💰 Enhanced Contribution Tracking with New Attribution and Adjustment Types
Bonterra now offers improved contribution tracking and financial reconciliation with two new global updates to contribution management. Organizations can now designate contributions coming through third-party affiliate platforms with the new "Affiliate Partner" attribution type, giving them cleaner separation and reporting for affiliate revenue streams.
Additionally, three new contribution adjustment types—Account Closed, Stop Payment, and Processing Error—are now available across all payment methods. These adjustment types align with standard bank return codes, making it easier to categorize and reconcile failed or reversed transactions, especially for organizations using financial system integrations like NetSuite.
These updates are live now for all clients and automatically appear in standard reporting. Whether you're working with affiliate fundraising platforms or reconciling bank-driven reversals, these new options give you more precision in tracking and reporting contribution data.
