Overview
Custom cancellation reasons help you track and analyze why donors end their recurring commitments, providing valuable data for improving your sustainer program.
Step 1: Access cancellation reasons list

Search for "Cancellation Reasons" in the Sidebar

This will open the list page showing default reasons
Step 2: Add new cancellation reasons

From the top of the list page, click "Add New Cancellation Reason"

Enter a descriptive name for the reason

Save the new reason
Step 3: Use custom reasons when ending commitments

When manually ending a commitment, you'll see your custom reasons in the dropdown list

Select the appropriate reason that matches the donor's feedback

This categorizes the cancellation for later reporting
Step 4: Add reasons to your reports

Open your recurring commitment reports

Add the "Cancellation Reason" column to view this data

This allows you to analyze patterns in why donors are ending their commitments
