Getting Started
You can track recurring commitments from the Fundraising Management page, as part of the contact record, or by using specialized reports. These commitments can be created through Online Actions forms, manual entry on a contact record, or through Batch Entry when processing contributions.
Feature Details
Recurring Commitments help you track sustainer gifts, which provide predictable revenue for your budget and programs. These can include anything from annual membership dues to monthly contributions. Features like Online Actions and Targeted Email help encourage donors to make recurring gifts, which can then be automatically processed at the frequency chosen.
Once a recurring commitment is added (through online forms, manual entry, or batch processing), ongoing payments will automatically process with the selected frequency until the donor ends their commitment. You can monitor these commitments through various reports, including the Recurring Commitment Report, Recurring Commitment Processing Report, and Recurring Commitment Changes Report.
The system allows you to notify donors about their recurring payments through confirmation emails for each installment, self-service pages showing their contribution history, or automations that provide periodic giving summaries.

Tracking Your Success / Reporting
The Fundraising Management dashboard is the best place to monitor your recurring commitments daily. Your monthly sustainers will appear in the top summary graph and can be added as one of your Revenue Streams (if available in your package). You can also add a Monthly Giving summary card for a quick overview of your sustainer program's health. For more detailed tracking, you can use specialized reports like the Recurring Commitments Report, which displays each commitment as one line with customizable columns for additional details.
