Overview

If a donor asks for another copy of their year-end gift receipt, you can resend it directly from their contact record. This process sends the receipt only to that donor and does not affect anyone else.

Result: The donor receives a new copy of their year-end receipt by email.

Before you begin

  • Your organization must already have a year-end gift receipt email set up

    • If you don’t see the option described below, pause and ask an admin for help

  • You have access to view the donor’s contact record

Estimated time: 2–3 minutes

Step-by-step instructions

Step 1: Open the donor’s contact record

  1. Search for the donor in your using Search for a contact field.

  2. Open their Contact Record.

Step 2: Choose to send the year-end gift receipt

  1. From the Contact Record view, click More and choose Send Year-End Gift Receipt.

If you do not see this option, stop here and contact an admin. Nothing has been sent.

Step 3: Select the email details

  1. Choose the email address to send the receipt to.

    • Subscribed and unsubscribed email addresses are both acceptable for receipts.

  2. Select the year-end gift receipt email to use.

Step 4: Send the receipt

  1. Review your selections.

  2. Click Send.

The receipt is sent immediately to the selected donor.

Important notes

  • This action sends a receipt to one donor only

  • If the needed email address is not listed, add it to the contact record before sending

  • If the year-end receipt email is not available, an admin will need to assist

Quick check before you move on
