Creating an event in EveryAction is the first step toward engaging your supporters through gatherings. Follow these steps to set up your event's basic framework.

Step 1: Access the Events Dashboard

  • Navigate to the Events section from the main menu
  • Click the "+ New Event" button in the upper right corner

Step 2: Choose your event type

  • Select from In-Person, Virtual, or Hybrid event types
  • Click "Next" to continue

Step 3: Enter basic event information

Fill in the required fields:

  • Event Name
  • Event Description
  • Start Date and Time
  • End Date and Time
  • Time Zone
  • For in-person or hybrid events, add the location information

Is it possible to duplicate an event in Every Action? We have the same event regularly with the same invite list, and it would be much easier to just duplicate and then edit details.

Hi @Emily Lamberty! Thanks for reaching out! I can definitely see how duplicating an event would save time, especially if you're hosting the same event on a regular basis with the same group of invitees.

At this time, EveryAction doesn't have a feature to duplicate an existing event. However, if you're running the same event repeatedly, you can create it as a recurring event using the Repeat feature. This lets you schedule multiple instances of the event without creating each one from scratch.

Here's how to set up a recurring event:

  1. Go to Events > Calendar.
  2. Select Add New Event.
  3. Choose your Event Type and enter the event details.
  4. If the selected Event Type supports recurring events, open the Repeat tab and set your desired schedule (for example, weekly or monthly).
  5. Add any additional details, such as shifts, location, roles, and sharing settings.
  6. Select Finish to create the recurring series.

If your events aren't on a regular schedule, you'll need to create each event individually, as there isn't currently a way to duplicate an existing event or copy its invite list to a new event.
