How do I enable Tribute Gifts on Smart Contribution Forms?

Tribute Giving lets donors dedicate their gift in honor or memory of someone, a meaningful option that can increase both conversion and average gift size during key moments like memorials, birthdays, and celebrations. Once enabled, donors can enter the honoree's name, notify them by email with a personal message, and schedule when that notification is sent. It takes just one toggle to turn on.

Step 1: Open your form

From EveryAction Home, open Online Actions. On the left-hand navigation, click Engagement > Communication Tools > Online Actions. If your left menu looks different, use Search for a page to find Online Actions and your form. Click the "Create New Form" button, choose "Smart Contribution" or open your existing form.

Step 2: Enable Gift Tributes

Go to the Build page. Find the Gift Tributes toggle and switch it On. Once enabled, the tribute section will appear on the donor-facing form automatically — no additional configuration is required.

Step 3: Preview the tribute flow

Use Preview to confirm the tribute section appears correctly and test the honoree notification fields before publishing.

Note: This feature is only available to users with "Create and Edit Tribute Gifts" enabled on their account. If you don't see the toggle, contact your administrator.
