How do I customize the social sharing appearance in my online form?

Overview

Customizing how your form appears when shared on social media can significantly improve engagement. You can set a specific image, title, and description that will be displayed when your form is shared. 

Step 1: Access the social sharing settings 

1. Open your form and navigate to the Confirmation Page step 

2. Locate the social sharing configuration section 

Step 2: Set the share image 

1. Look for the image selection option in the social sharing section 

2. Upload or select an image that represents your campaign or action 

3. For best results, use an image that is: 

1. Eye-catching and relevant to your campaign 

2. Properly sized for social media (Facebook recommends 1200 x 630 pixels) 

3. Clear and high quality 

Step 3: Customize the title and description 

1. Enter a compelling Title for your share in the provided field 

1. Keep it concise but descriptive 

2. Include your organization name or campaign name for recognition 

2. Write an engaging Description that will appear with the shared content 

1. Briefly explain what the form is about 

2. Include a clear call to action 

3. Keep it short enough to display properly on social platforms 

Step 4: Save your customizations 

1. Review your social sharing settings to ensure everything looks as intended 

2. Save your changes to the form 

3. Publish or update your form to apply the customized sharing appearance 

Note: 

These settings will also populate the Facebook and Twitter (X) metatags by default on your online form. If you're using a custom theme with your online form, you'll need to update its coding to use the social media metadata merge fields.
