How do I download my MFA recovery code?

Your recovery code gives you a backup way to log in if you don't have access to your phone, aren't receiving your verification code, or your authenticator app isn't working. Follow the steps below to download and save your code — it's best to do this right after setting up MFA.

Step 1: Open the Bonterra Account Center

From the EveryAction home page, click your name in the upper-right corner and select My Settings. Under Account Details, click the Manage my Bonterra Account link.

Step 2: Open your profile

Click Edit Profile.

Step 3: Log in to confirm your identity

Enter your Bonterra Account credentials and click Log in.

Step 4: Generate your recovery code

Click Get a new recovery code.

Step 5: Save your recovery code

Print, copy, or write down the code that appears on your screen. Click Finish.

Store your recovery code somewhere safe and easy to find — you may need it a year or more from now. If you use a password manager such as LastPass or 1Password, that's a good place to keep it

If you don't have your recovery code: Contact your administrator. They will need to submit a request to reset your Bonterra Account. This process takes time and may prevent you from logging in in the meantime — downloading your code now is the easiest way to avoid this situation.
