How do I log in with Multi-Factor Authentication in EveryAction?
Once MFA is enabled on your account, you'll verify your identity each time you sign in. Follow the steps below for the standard login flow — and what to do if your usual verification method isn't available.
If the login page looks different: EveryAction now uses a Bonterra-branded login screen. This is a cosmetic change only — your email address, password, and MFA settings remain the same. If you use a saved password, password manager, or autofill tool, you may need to enter your credentials manually the first time you log in and then re-save them.
Step 1: Log in with your email and password
Enter your Bonterra Account email and password as usual.
Step 2: Enter your verification code
You will be prompted to enter a verification code.
- If you set up MFA with your phone number: check your phone for a text message containing the code.
- If you set up MFA with an authenticator app: open the app on your phone to find your current code.
Enter the code on your screen.
Step 3: (Optional) Remember this device
If you are on a personal device that you don't share with anyone, you can check Remember this device. This skips the verification step for 30 days on that specific device and browser combination.
Do not check this box on shared or public devices — such as a library computer or a device lent to you by your organization.
You will be prompted to verify again if:
- 30 days have passed since your last verification on that device
- You clear your browser cookies
- You sign in from a different browser or device
Step 4: Log in with a recovery code (if your usual method isn't available)
If you don't have access to your phone or your verification code isn't working:
- Click Use a recovery code on the login screen.
- Enter your saved recovery code in the field provided.
- Click Verify.
Note: The recovery code screen looks almost identical to the standard verification screen. The only difference is the field label — it will say Enter a recovery code that you have saved instead of prompting for your usual code.
If you don't have your recovery code, contact your administrator to request a Bonterra Account reset.
