Why You Might Be Having Trouble
Many people rely on their web browser (like Chrome or Firefox) to remember their passwords. When you visit a website, your browser recognizes it and automatically suggests the saved password for that site.
Recently, EveryAction updated its login page. Because the address of the login page has changed, your browser may not recognize it as the same EveryAction site it saved your password for, so it won't offer to fill it in automatically. This can leave you staring at a blank login form with no idea what your password is.
The most important thing to know: if you're not sure what your password is, don't reset it just yet. Your password is very likely already saved in your browser, you just need to know where to look.
Resetting your password when you don't need to can sometimes create additional problems (more on that below).
Step 1: Find Your Saved Password in Your Browser
Follow the steps for whichever browser you use.
Google Chrome
-
Open Chrome and click the three dots in the top-right corner of the window.
-
Click Settings.
-
On the left-hand side, click Autofill and passwords, then click Password Manager.
-
In the search bar at the top, type ngpvan or id.ngpvan.com (or the name of your organization's site).
-
Your saved login should appear. Click the eye icon next to the password to reveal it.
-
Make a note of both the username/email and the password shown.
-
Go back to the EveryAction login page and type them in manually.
Mozilla Firefox
-
Open Firefox and click the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner.
-
Click Passwords.
-
In the search bar, type ngpvan or id.ngpvan.com (or your organization's site name).
-
Click the matching entry to see the details.
-
Click the eye icon next to the password to reveal it.
-
Make a note of both the username/email and the password shown.
-
Go back to the EveryAction login page and type them in manually.
Important: Check Which Email Address Is Saved
While you're looking at your saved login, pay close attention to the email address or username that's stored there.
If your work email address has changed recently (for example, your organization changed its email domain), your browser may have your old email address saved. EveryAction still has your original email on file, so you'll need to log in using that older email, not your current one.
Using the wrong email address is one of the most common reasons people experience errors when logging in or resetting their password.
If You Still Need to Reset Your Password
If you've checked your browser and can't find a saved password, you can go ahead and request a password reset from the EveryAction login page.
After requesting a reset, check your spam or junk folder. These emails will come from noreply@bonterra.network. The reset email contains a 6-digit code, and it can sometimes be filtered out by your email provider before it reaches your inbox. If you don't see it within a few minutes, check spam/junk before requesting another one.
Note: The reset email will only be sent if the email address you enter exactly matches what EveryAction has on file. If you see a "User not found" message, the email address entered doesn't match your account, refer to the section above about checking your saved browser credentials for the correct email.
