How do I set up the Forms page?

Overview

The forms.html page is a critical component of your Weebly site that enables the automatic posting of Online Actions forms. This page comes pre-configured with your site and requires careful handling to maintain its functionality.

Step 1: Locate your Forms page

  1. Log into your Weebly site and select "Edit Site"

  1. Click on the "Pages" tab at the top of the interface

  1. Look for the page named "forms.html" in your page list

  1. Important: Do not delete this page or change its URL name, as it is essential for the integration

Step 2: Customize the appearance

  1. Click on the "Build" tab while on the forms.html page

  1. You can safely modify:

    1. Header elements (logo, navigation, colors)

    2. Footer elements (contact information, social links)

    3. Background colors and images

    4. Any content above or below the custom HTML block

  2. The forms will inherit the overall styling of your site while maintaining their functionality

Step 3: Preserve the custom HTML block

  1. In the middle of your forms.html page, you'll see a custom HTML block

  1. Do NOT edit or remove this HTML block as it contains the code necessary for displaying your Online Actions forms

  1. The block may appear as a gray box with code elements inside it

  1. You can add content above and below this block, but the block itself must remain intact

Step 4: Match your Online Actions form design

  1. In Online Actions, customize your forms to complement the design of your Weebly site

  1. Go to the "Design" tab in Online Actions when editing a form

  1. Select colors and fonts that match your Weebly theme

  1. Remember that certain elements (banner images, return URLs, etc.) will be controlled by Weebly rather than Online Actions
