How do I map fields using Better Bulk Upload?
Field mapping connects the columns in your uploaded file to the right fields in EveryAction. The redesigned mapping step makes this easier to see and adjust. This article walks you through how to review and confirm your field mapping before completing an upload.
Step 1: Reach the Mapping Step
Complete the file upload and settings steps in Better Bulk Upload. The mapping step will appear automatically after you confirm your upload settings.
Step 2: Review the Auto-Mapped Fields
EveryAction will automatically attempt to match your file's column headers to known EveryAction fields. Review the suggested matches, your file's columns on the left, the matched EveryAction fields on the right. Scan through all rows before proceeding.
Step 3: Correct Any Unmapped or Incorrectly Mapped Fields
If a column wasn't mapped automatically, or was mapped to the wrong field, use the dropdown on that row to select the correct EveryAction field. If a column in your file doesn't correspond to any EveryAction field, you can leave it unmapped or mark it to be ignored.
Step 4: Apply a Saved Mapping Template (Optional)
If you've previously saved a mapping template, you can apply it here to populate your mappings automatically. See How Do I Use and Manage Mapping Templates? for details.
Step 5: Confirm Your Mapping and Continue
Once all required fields are mapped correctly, click Next or Continue to proceed to the error review step. EveryAction will validate your data before the upload is finalized.
