How do I upload contacts using Better Bulk Upload?
Ready to upload contacts with the new bulk upload experience? This article walks you through the full workflow, from selecting your file to completing your upload, so you can get your data into EveryAction quickly and confidently.
Step 1: Access the New Bulk Upload Flow
Navigate to the bulk upload tool in EveryAction as you normally would. At the top of the page, you'll see a banner inviting you to try the new experience. Click the banner to launch Better Bulk Upload. If you'd prefer to stay with the original flow at any time, a link to switch back is always available.
Step 2: Upload Your File
Once you're in the new flow, you'll land on the upload step. Drag your file directly onto the upload area, or click to open a file browser and select it from your computer. Supported file types are the same as the existing bulk upload tool.
Step 3: Confirm Your Upload Settings
After your file loads, review and confirm your upload settings. The default action is pre-set to Load New and Update Contacts, the most common use case, so in many cases you can move forward without making any changes. Adjust the settings if your upload requires something different.
Step 4: Map Your Fields
On the mapping step, match the columns in your file to the corresponding fields in EveryAction. If you have an existing mapping template saved, you can apply it here to save time. Review all mappings before continuing to make sure everything is connected correctly.
Step 5: Review Errors Before Uploading
Before your upload is finalized, EveryAction will flag any data issues it detects. Review each error and make corrections as needed. This step helps protect the quality of your data before anything is submitted.
Step 6: Complete the Upload
Once your mapping is confirmed and any errors are addressed, proceed to complete the upload. EveryAction will process your file and display the results. After your upload finishes, you'll be prompted to share feedback on your experience.
