How do I use and manage mapping templates with Better Bulk Upload?
If you upload files with the same column structure regularly, mapping templates let you save your field mapping and reuse it, so you're not re-mapping the same columns every time. This article explains how to apply an existing template and what to know about template compatibility with the new upload flow.
Step 1: Reach the Mapping Step in Better Bulk Upload
Complete the file upload and settings steps. Your mapping template options will be available on the mapping step.
Step 2: Apply a Saved Template
Look for the template selector at the top of the mapping step. Click it to see your saved templates, then select the one that matches your file's column structure. Your mappings will populate automatically based on the template.
Step 3: Review the Applied Mapping
Even when using a saved template, always review the auto-populated mappings before continuing. If your file structure has changed since the template was saved, some fields may need to be adjusted manually.
Step 4: Adjust and Re-Save if Needed
If you've made changes to your mapping that you want to keep for future uploads, save the updated template before proceeding. Use the save option within the mapping step to update the existing template or create a new one.
Step 5: Continue to Error Review
Once your mapping is confirmed, proceed to the next step. EveryAction will validate your data before the upload is finalized.
Note: All mapping templates created in the original bulk upload flow are fully compatible with Better Bulk Upload. You do not need to recreate them.
