Cart-abandonment Nudges gently remind supporters who start to donate but don’t finish—think a friendly “Still interested?” prompt or a quick email capture for a follow-up. Turn it on to recover gifts that would otherwise be lost with a simple, donor-friendly message. Set it once, and it keeps working automatically to bring people back.

Step 1: Open your form Confirmation page

From EveryAction Home, open Online Actions. On the left-hand navigation, click Engagement> Communication Tools> Online Actions. If your left menu looks different, use Search for a page to find Online Actions. Click the “Create New Optimized Contribution Form” button or open your existing form. Then open the Confirmation page.

Step 2: Enable Cart-abandonment notification

In the Cart-Abandonment section, toggle on "Enable reminder notification.” An abandonment reminder notification email will be dispatched after one hour, the following day, and again one week later.

Step 3: Compose your cart abandonment email

Write an email that encourages supporters to complete their donation—you can use the default message provided or customize it to fit your voice.

Step 4: Preview the behavior of your nudge

Start a donation, then close/timeout to test your nudge before publishing.
