Getting Started

To perform a Direct Response Plan mail matchback, you'll need your exported Direct Response Plan file, which includes a "Direct Response Plan subsegment ID" column. This unique SubsegmentID ties each contact record to both the Direct Response Plan and their specific segment within that plan. Access the matchback feature through the Bulk Upload Wizard found on the Sidebar.

Feature Details

The Direct Response Plan mail matchback feature allows you to accurately track which contacts actually received a mail piece after your Direct Response Plan is complete. While all contacts in your audience are initially marked as "Mailed" when you complete a Direct Response Plan, this feature lets you update records if some contacts were ultimately excluded from the mailing. This is valuable when budget concerns, list hygiene issues, or other factors result in removing certain contacts from your final mailing. Using the matchback preserves the selection history of all contacts in your original plan while ensuring only those who actually received mail are marked as "Mailed" in your database.
