When adding a note for a contact, there are several categories to choose from, but I would like to create new ones. Is this possible? I do have admin privileges, but cannot find a way to do so. Thanks in advance for any help!
Thanks to everyone who joined today’s coaching session, Modern Thank-You Strategies that Inspire Donors. Liz Albert reviewed best practices for thanking your donors. In our EA-specific breakout room, I went over how to use workflow automations to thank your offline donors.I’d love to hear other ideas from you! What automations do you use to thank donors? Do you leverage EA’s workflow automation templates such as birthday or first gift anniversary to reach out to your donors on a more personal level? Anything else that Liz went over that resonated with you?Drop your questions, ideas, or examples below. This community is a great space to learn from each other!
How do I delete workflow automations that I am no longer using?
When I am bulk uploading organizations — there is no place to select a matching field for "common name" or "organization name" all of the matching fields are for individuals. I want matching fields for organization name.Where is it? I am either not seeing it, we don't have access to it, or it doesn't exist.
When bulk uploading, how do you clear out "null" out assigned staff. So when bulk uploading a record, when it previously had an assigned staff and I want it now to have no assigned staff...when I leave it blank it didn't do anything. Should leaving it blank clear out the field?Or is there another thing I need to type in the cell to trigger the system to clear it, like Clear, or Null....
We’re working on cleaning up over 20k contact records and I was wondering if there was a way to merge obvious duplicates in bulk to cut up the time it’ll take. Or is it really just the Find Duplicates tool (without the possibility of merging more than two contacts at a time)?
Hi, I’d like to give my accountant access to the Bonterra Gateway area of the website so they can look at payment gateway payout details without having to go through me.Is that possible? How do you deal with this? Thanks for feedback

I’ve been synching zoom webinars to EA events & online forms but have not figured out how to set up a form that honors a “no” rsvp. I want to be able to exclude no replies from further outreach so I had include “no” as an option on the EA form, but anyone who responds at all gets pushed to zoom and receives an email from zoom with the join info… which is confusing for people who have just said they can’t make it. I’ve since only allowed an “rsvp-yes” option to avoid that confusion, but then I can’t track who has seen the invite email and can’t make it (unless they respond to me directly). Am I missing something? Please help 😊 Thanks!
I use the activist codes type Email Interest to run several email lists. On our unsubscribe page we allow people to edit their email preferences and they can add or opt-out of them email list. I want to create a list to see how many people have done that. There seems to be no one to search in “Build a list” of people who have taken off an activist code. Does anyone know how to do this?

I’m working with a veteran EveryAciton user. She spent two hours working on an email. When she clicked Send Sample Email, her screen locked up. She clicked Save, and the system logged her out. When she logged back in and went to her draft email, it was where she started two hours ago, but all the images she had uploaded for the email during that time period were in the image library. She doesn’t use VPN, and she knows to use EveryAction navigation instead of browser navigation. I’m at a loss for how to explain how she could have lost two hours of editing work. Can anyone give me some possible explanations?

One of the most common challenges I see across EveryAction databases is data that's technically usable but quietly working against you. Duplicate records, inconsistent source codes, outdated constituent information—none of them are catastrophic on their own, but together it adds up to segmentation you can't fully trust, bloated databses, and campaigns that leave results on the table. The good news is that EveryAction has built-in tools to help you get ahead of it.A good starting point is running a duplicate check on your contact records. Even well-maintained databases accumulate duplicates over time—people give through different channels, staff enter records manually, or an import brings in names that already exist. EveryAction's merge tools let you identify and resolve these without losing essential data and cleaning them up now means your lists and reports reflect reality. On the source code side, one of the highest-value things you can do before a major campaign is audit what you have
We have an EA client who is asking for some functionality that we’re unsure is offered out-of-the-box. They would like their donation forms to be able to include a dropdown or selector for donors to choose a specific program or project to designate their gift for. The issue is that they need the contribution source code to dynamically change based on what the user selects in the dropdown. Is this something other EA clients have enabled through custom theme code? Or is there a way to enable this type of functionality with existing Online Action form options? I have to assume other organizations have needed similar flexibility for donors to restrict gifts to certain projects.

Hi all! I wanted to put out a call for virtual/remote volunteer opportunities at your nonprofits. In conversations with corporate funders, virtual and/or remote volunteering opportunities always come up as something they would like to know more about and be able to recommend to their home-based staff. I thought I would go straight to the source and start collecting opportunities that your nonprofits have that volunteers could do virtually or independently nationwide, not just as a larger office group. If you have virtual volunteering opportunities at your nonprofit please share them here (link to your website and a description of the opportunity) and I will pass them along. Thank you!
Hi Everyone, I wanted to make a quick plug for Office Hours with Rachel and Chase. Also the title was clickbait, so feel free to disregard if you only came for the drama.I was a late registrant today, and so didn’t get around to posting any questions. When I showed up for the session, it was just me, Rachel, and Chase on the call. One more person showed up for a little bit before logging off. For one hour, it was legitimately just the three of us, and they sat there answering every single question that I threw at them rapid fire. They both took turns listing use cases for various features I was curious about and gave great context for how to use the tool while also sending links for further reading. I would recommend people get in sooner rather than later. I think I got lucky to get the two of them for a whole hour, and I imagine it will be different once attendance starts picking up. Also, even though both of them were very on the ball with all of their responses, I would recommend sen

I have staff members saying that since last week, they have not been able to send out draft emails to people. Any one else having this issue?
