Step 1: Open Bonterra Que
From your Network for Good dashboard, click the Ask Que icon to launch the assistant.
Step 2: Request a Data Visualization
In the chat, type your request and ask about fundraising performance, donor trends, retention, or giving patterns. Be specific about your timeframe and whether you want full-year or year-to-date data for the clearest results.
Try prompts like:

Show me revenue trend over the last 5 years.

How has our donor count changed over the past 3 years?

Compare new vs. retained vs. reactivated donors for the past 3 years.
Que will analyze your organization's NFG data and return an inline visualization, a bar or line chart rendered directly in the chat, with no spreadsheet work required.
Step 3: Review Your Chart
Que will display your results as a time-based chart inline in the conversation. If you want to dig deeper or adjust the timeframe, just ask a follow-up in chat. For multiple metrics, try requesting a line chart; for single-metric year-over-year comparisons, bar charts are clearest.
Step 4: Explore Additional Metrics
Use natural language to explore other dimensions of your fundraising data. Que can chart retention rates, segment donor mix, surface benchmark comparisons, and more. Try prompts like:

Show me first-year retention rate vs. repeat retention rate over time.

Chart our retention rate and compare it to sector benchmarks.

Show me full-year metrics for 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Step 5: Export Your Charts
Once Que returns a visualization, you can download it directly from the chat as an image or CSV to use in board presentations, reports, or internal updates.
