How do I create a Smart Giving Form with Que?

Want to launch a Smart Giving Form quickly? Que can now build the entire Smart Giving Form for you — headline, description, impact language, gift array, header image, and a live progress bar — so you can preview it, refine it by chatting, and publish or embed it the same day. This feature is available only with Bonterra Payments.

Step 1: Start a Smart Giving Form

There are two ways in:

  • From My Campaigns, click Add Campaign → Smart Giving Form.

  • Or click Ask Que from your Network for Good dashboard to open the assistant directly.

Step 2: Ask Que to Build Your Smart Giving Form

Use natural language prompts to tell Que what you're fundraising for and what tone you want.

Try prompts like:

  • "Create a giving form for our Giving Tuesday campaign."

  • "Build a giving form for disaster relief, urgent but hopeful."

  • "Draft a giving form for our monthly donor program."

  • "Suggest a gift array for a $10,000 goal."

Tip: Include details like your campaign goal, audience, timeline, and a short description of the impact — Que will use these to set your goal amount and progress bar automatically.

Step 3: Review the Live Smart Giving Form

Instead of just returning text, Que generates a working form you can view side-by-side with the chat. It typically includes:

  • A headline and mission description

  • A goal amount with a progress bar (donations and percent-to-goal)

  • Impact bullets tied to gift amounts

  • Personalized suggested donation amounts

  • One-time and monthly giving toggles

  • A clear call-to-action

Click Open preview (or use the expand icon) to view the full form. Keep chatting with Que to adjust anything — "add a progress bar," "raise the goal to $20,000," "make the suggested amounts higher" — and the preview updates in place.

Step 4: Set Up Payments

Before your form can accept donations, connect Bonterra Payments (about 10 minutes, with your bank information ready). Smart Giving Form Creation with Que requires Bonterra Payments to publish and accept donations. Que will flag this step if it isn't complete.

Step 5: Publish or Embed

Once you're happy with the form, publish it as a standalone giving page, or embed it directly on your organization's website so donors can donate directly from your website.
